About the Program
What is GerakDampak Academy 2026?
- The GerakDampak Academy program is an initiative by Indika Foundation to empower young people with the capacity, motivation, and opportunities to become agents of change.
- Through this program, young people are expected to create consistent positive impact for their communities and environment effectively and with empathy.
- Participants will take part in online sessions (Mini Bootcamp), in-person training (Intensive Course), and develop individual real-world action projects that create impact in their communities with intensive mentorship.
Why did Indika Foundation create the GerakDampak Academy program?
Indonesia still lags far behind in achieving sustainable peace—evidenced by its position at 84th in the global Positive Peace Index out of 164 countries. In fact, UN Security Council Resolution 2250 has emphasized the importance of youth participation in building inclusive peace. Unfortunately, implementation in Indonesia is still far from optimal. Trends in participation and leadership in the Youth Development Index from 2015–2023 have tended to decline. Furthermore, only 4.84% of youth are actively involved in organizations, and only 5.40% feel capable of expressing their opinions in formal forums. This is where GerakDampak Academy takes its role—as a growth space for Indonesian youth to become part of the solution and create real impact.
Who is the target of the GerakDampak Academy program?
- Young people aged 18–25 years.
- Actively involved in managing organizations and/or communities.
- Interested in addressing issues related to freedom of expression, environmental sustainability, gender equality, equal access, mental health, or freedom of belief and religion in Indonesia.
- Committed to participating in the entire series of activities: Mini Bootcamp, Intensive Course, and Real Action Implementation.
How will participants learn in this program?
GerakDampak Academy participants will go through an experiential adult learning process that has been comprehensively designed to help them lead themselves, lead others, and lead change using Indika Foundation’s HARMONI curriculum. At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to apply their learning under the guidance of mentors.
Does the GerakDampak Academy program charge a fee?
No. The entire program—from the registration process, mini bootcamp, intensive course in the Greater Jakarta area, to the implementation of real actions—is free of charge.
