About the Program
What is GerakDampak Academy 2025?
- GerakDampak Academy is an initiative by Indika Foundation to empower young people with the capacity, motivation, and opportunity to become agents of change.
- Through this program, Indika Foundation supports young people to actively lead the values of peace and tolerance at both local and national levels.
- The program consists of online and in-person training, followed by the implementation of an individual project with intensive guidance from professional practitioners.
Why did Indika Foundation create the GerakDampak Academy program?
Indonesia still lags significantly in creating sustainable peace—as reflected in its ranking of 84th out of 164 countries in the global Positive Peace Index. Yet, UN Security Council Resolution 2250 has emphasized the vital role of youth in building inclusive peace.
Unfortunately, implementation in Indonesia remains far from optimal. Trends in participation and leadership based on the Youth Development Index from 2015 to 2023 show a downward pattern. Moreover, only 4.84% of youth are actively involved in organizations, and just 5.40% feel capable of voicing their opinions in formal forums.
This is where GerakDampak Academy comes in—as a growth space for Indonesian youth to become part of the solution and create real impact.
Who is the target of the GerakDampak Academy program?
- Young people aged 18–25.
- Actively involved in organizational and/or community leadership.
- Interested in addressing issues related to tolerance and diversity in Indonesia.
- Committed to fully participating in the entire program: Mini Bootcamp, Intensive Course, and Project Implementation.
How will participants learn in this program?
GerakDampak Academy participants will undergo an experiential adult learning process designed to help them lead themselves, lead others, and lead change—based on the HARMONI curriculum developed by Indika Foundation. At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to apply their learning under the guidance of professional practitioners.
When will the GerakDampak Academy program take place?
The program will run in three phases, with the following tentative schedule:
- Mini Bootcamp: September 5–7 & 13–14, 2025 (online via Zoom)
- Intensive Course: October 27–31, 2025 (in-person in Jakarta)
- Project Implementation: November 1 – December 5, 2025 (independently carried out in each participant’s place of residence)
Schedule is subject to change. Indika Foundation will inform selected participants of any updates.
Will this program provide a certificate?
